Stoneridge Farm has been a Great Falls institution for almost 50 years. Our training, offered to boarders and those in our lesson programs, is tailored to meet your specific riding goals.

Stoneridge is one of the few facilities to teach beginners under the age of 8. We are very proud that several of our young riders are second-generation Stoneridge students. Our lessons are small, and match riders of similar levels of ability and experience.

We teach riders of all ages and ambitions, from 5 to 60+. Whether you only want to take lessons, or if you need to prepare for A-rated shows, our experienced trainers will bring out the best rider in you! In addition to Sharon, our training staff includes Sarah Wilson and Barb Losselyong.

Our riders enjoy tremendous success on the very competitive local show circuits in Northern Virginia, Maryland and Pennsylvania.

Sarah specializes in starting young beginner riders, taking them from their very first lesson, tacking up their pony, riding on a longe line, and eventually riding in small group lessons.

Sharon's greatest reward from teaching comes from finding the best matches of horses and riders, helping to build your strengths, and challenging you to overcome limitations. Her philosophy in training is based on the belief that there is a career path for every horse, and in developing the horse's confidence to find its niche.
